Jeju is an island located to the Southwest of the Korean peninsula. The weather is quite pleasant and significantly warmer than the mainland which makes it a popular holiday destination. In addition to the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites on Jeju, people come to enjoy the natural beauty and coastal culture of this island. Tourists enjoy such activities as hiking, walks along the beach, water sports, museums and festivals.
During this full-day tour, you will visit and learn about Jeju Island while getting away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. Breath in some fresh air and enjoy picture like views.
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in Jeju Island between 8:30am-9am depending on your hotel location.
Tour bus will head over to Woljeong Beach, one of must go to beaches in Jeju Island due to emerald colored beaches with charmingly decorated cafe. Then you will visit Manjanggul Lava Tube that stretches for as far as 7.4km which was formed when the lave that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface.
After having seasonal local lunch you will enjoy Haenyeo Performance. Haenyeo literally means "Sea-Women" and they are divers in Jeju Island who dive into the ocean to catch various seafood or oceanic organisms. (It could be cancelled due to the weather condition.)Then continue on to visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, designated by UNESCO as World Nature Heritage in 2007. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 5,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of the Jeju Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Sungsan Ilchulbong Peak.
Afterwards you will visit Seongeup Folk Village. The Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique culture of Jeju Island: the black lava rock walls, the straight but curvy alleys to block the wind, and the stone grandfather statues (Harubang), which have become a prime feature of the landscape. The local black-haired pigs and tongsi (pigsty / restroom) are especially well-known characteristics of Jeju folk culture.
Finally, you will stop by for a Foot Spa Experience. At the end of tour, participants can relieve fatigue and tension while taking a foot spa in warm water.
After the tour ends, your will transfer to hotel.
